Ruth Landers (born May 17, 1938 in Frankfurt am Main , Germany ) is an American film and TV producer.

Life

Ruth Landers, who was born in Germany, first grew up in Shanghai and emigrated to the USA when she was ten. She married her high school sweetheart, had two daughters, and attended Temple University . At the same time, she appeared in TV commercials and worked as a model. When she was modeling for a paper company at age 21, she developed an interest in the business and became a regional sales manager. At the age of 26, she started her own printing company. She also served as a personal manager for her daughters Audrey Landers and Judy Landers , who were steered early on to acting and singing careers. In 1978 she opened a talent management company in New York, then a section in Los Angeles in 1982. From this the family company Landers Productions developed, in which not only her daughters but also grandson Daniel Landers is involved. Ruth Landers produced the 1989 comedy Ghost Writer , in which her daughters played the leading roles. In addition to low-budget films, she shoots music videos, TV specials, etc. In 2007, she and daughter Audrey created the Landers STAR Collection fashion collection, which was sold through various home shopping channels and a few selected boutiques.
