Ruth Schirmer
Ruth Schirmer (also: Ruth Schirmer-Imhoff , born November 10, 1919 as Ruth Imhoff in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ; † 1996 ) was a German writer and translator .
Life
Ruth Schirmer received her doctorate in 1943 with a literary thesis at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin as a doctor of philosophy . She later lived in Bonn and published her own narrative works as well as translations from English and French . In 1988 she received the GEDOK Bonn Art Prize .
