Ruth Ware (* 1977 ) is a British writer best known for her psychological crime novels . She grew up in Lewes and studied at Manchester University . After completing her studies, she lived in Paris for a while . Before starting her writing career, she worked as a waitress, bookseller, teacher of English as a foreign language and press officer. Her first three books have been translated into more than 40 languages ​​and have been on various bestseller lists, including the Sunday Times and the New York Times . She lives in North London with her family.
