Soner Tolungüç (born October 14, 1964 in Hatay ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach.

Athletic career

Tolungüç played at the beginning of his career for İskenderunspor and Düzce Kervan Doğsanspor . Before the start of the 1988/89 season, he moved to the first division club Kahramanmaraşspor . Kahramanmaraşspor rose from bottom of the table in the 2nd division. Tolungüç then left Kahramanmaraşspor and became a player of Sarıyer SK .

After a season with Sarıyer, the full-back first went to Trabzonspor on loan and then to Galatasaray Istanbul . His first competitive game for the yellow-reds was in the final of the Turkish Supercup on August 14, 1993. Galatasaray won 2-0 and was Supercup winner. At the end of the season Tolungüç was with his teammates Turkish champions. After the 1993/94 season Tolungüç was loaned to Antalyaspor and Bakırköyspor .

He ended his career with Karşıyaka SK in 1997.

Coaching career

In January 2000 Konyaspor engaged him as an assistant coach. At the end of 2000, Tolungüç was replaced by head coach Çorluspor . This was followed by engagements as a youth coach at Körfez Belediyespor and Istanbul Güngörenspor . From August 2010 to February 2011, the former full-back was Adana Demirspor's head coach . His last coaching job so far was at Karşıyaka SK from August 2016 to December 2016.
