Rutherford Medal and Prize

Rutherford Medal and Prize is a biennial prize in nuclear physics and engineering awarded by the Institute of Physics . It emerged in 1965 from the Rutherford Memorial Lecture, which has been held since 1942. Both are named after Ernest Rutherford . The medal is endowed with 1000 pounds.
