Ryoko Sekiguchi
Ryōko Sekiguchi ( Japanese 関口 涼子 , Sekiguchi Ryōko ; writer pseudonym : Natsu Yōko ( ナ ツ ヨ ウ コ ); born December 21, 1970 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese poet, art historian and translator.
Life
She graduated from Tokyo University . After graduating in comparative literature and cultural studies, she went to Paris and studied art history at the Sorbonne . She publishes her books in French and Japanese. In 1989 she was awarded the Gendaishi Techōshō ( 現代 詩 手 帖 賞 ) poetry prize. She works in various institutions such as the Institut national des langues et civilizations orientales (INALCO).
She has translated Gōzo Yoshimatsu ( 吉松剛 造 ), Yōko Tawada and the 2006 Noma literary prize, Ichijitsu yume no satsu ( 一日 夢 の 柵 ) by Kuroi Senji into French and the French writers Jean Echenoz , Atiq Rahimi , Anne Portugal and Pierre Alfer translated into Japanese.
