Ryōya Taniguchi ( Japanese 谷口 遼 弥 , Tanigushi Ryōya ; born August 31, 1999 in Kanazawa ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Ryōya Taniguchi learned to play football in the school team of the Shonan SSS and the youth teams of Espoir Hakusan and Branches Kanazawa . He also signed his first contract with Branches in 2018. The club from Kanazawa , a city in Ishikawa Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan , played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League . It was not used here in 2018. In 2019 he was loaned to Japan Soccer College . The club played in the fifth division, the Hokushin'etsu Football League . After the end of his contract in Kanazawa, he moved to Albirex Niigata (Singapore) in early 2020 . The club is an offshoot of the Japanese second division club Albirex Niigata and plays in the top Singaporean football league, the Singapore Premier League .
