Ryūji Tabuchi ( Japanese 田 渕 龍 二 , Tabuchi Ryūji ; born February 16, 1973 in Tokushima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Tabuchi learned to play soccer on the school team at Tokushima Commercial High School . He signed his first contract with Otsuka Pharmaceutical in 1991 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. For the club, he completed 113 games. In 1997 he moved to the league competitor Consadole Sapporo . In 1997 he was with the club master of the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . At the end of the 1998 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2000 he became champions of the J2 League with the club and rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 170 games. In 2003 he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe . For the club, he completed 13 first division games. At the end of 2003 he ended his career as a soccer player.
