Ryan Star (born January 7, 1978 in Huntington , New York ) is an American musician .
Live and act
At the age of 14, Star founded the band Stage , with which he performed in New York clubs. The band released their debut album Stage on Maverick Records in 2003 and then toured the United States and played as the opening act at some concerts.
Shortly thereafter, Star decided to start a solo career. In 2006 the musician released his first solo album entitled Songs from the Eye of an Elephant on Koch Records . In the same year, Star took part in the reality show Rock Star: Supernova and took sixth place as a finalist.
On January 18, 2008, the soundtrack for the movie PS I Love You , which contained the song Last Train Home , was released. Brand New Day , the theme song for the US series Lie to Me , was also written by him.
