Rymantas Mockevičius
Rymantas Mockevičius (born January 19, 1967 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian civil servant, head of Vadovybės apsaugos departamentas (VAD), general in the office.
Life
In 1992 he graduated from the Vilniaus pedagoginis universitetas with a degree in history and became a teacher. From 1991 to 1993 he worked as a specialist in the Seimas Protection Agency . From 1993 to 1994 he headed the planning subdivision and from 1994 to 1999 espionage subdivision at VAD at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania . From 1999 to 2013 he was Deputy Director of Operational Administration at VAD. He has been the director of VAD since 2013. In September 2013 he was promoted to general in the office by Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius .
He is married. With Mrs. Gitana he has the son Ignas and the daughter Eglė.
