Alfredo Quintana Bravo

Alfredo Quintana Bravo (born March 20, 1988 in Havana ) is a native Cuban handball goalkeeper who took on Portuguese citizenship in 2014 .

The 2.01 m tall and 97 kg heavy Cuban played for Ciudad Havana in his home country and has been playing for the Portuguese club FC Porto since 2011 , with whom he became Portuguese champions in 2012, 2013 and 2014 . Internationally, he reached the round of 16 in the EHF Cup 2011/12 , the third round in the EHF Europe Cup 2012/13 and the group stage in the EHF Champions League 2013/14 .

With the Cuban national team , Quintana took part in the 2009 World Cup and finished in 20th place. At the Pan American Games in 2007 he won the bronze medal. At the Pan American Championship in 2008 he was again third. He played at least 26 internationals by February 2009 . He is now playing for the Portuguese national team , for which he scored 6 goals in 48 international matches. He will take part in the 2020 European Championship with Portugal .
