Career

Nagai learned to play football in the youth team of Cerezo Osaka . He signed his first contract with Cerezo Osaka in 2010. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 25 first division games. In September 2012 he was loaned to the Perth Glory . In 2014 he returned to Cerezo Osaka. At the end of the 2014 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 21 first division games. In May 2015 he was loaned to the league competitor Ōita Trinita . In July 2015, he returned to Cerezo Osaka. In 2016 he moved to league competitor V-Varen Nagasaki . For the club he completed 41 league games. In 2017 he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus . For the club he completed 23 league games. In 2018 he moved to league rivals Matsumoto Yamaga FC . In 2018 he became champion of the J2 League with the club and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 51 league games. In 2020 he moved to league rivals Sanfrecce Hiroshima .
