Ryori

Ryori (actually Japanese. 気象ロケット観測所, Kisho Roketto Kansokujo , dt. "Meteorological rocket observation station") is the name of a launch site for weather rockets in Sanrikuchō -Ryōri in the municipality Ōfunato of Iwate Prefecture in Japan at 39 ° 2 '  N , 141 ° 50 '  O coordinates: 39 ° 2' 0 "  N , 141 ° 50 '0"  O .

The first weather rocket launched on July 15, 1970 and the last on March 21, 2001. The type MT-135 used is about 3.3 long, has a total weight of 70 kg and climbs to an altitude of 60 km.
