Sâr Dubnotal
Sâr Dubnotal is the name of the fictional main character in a literary series.
The stories about Sâr Dubnotal originally appeared in France in 1909 as part of a twenty-volume booklet series .
The Sâr Dubnotal stories were published anonymously. Some literary scholars believe they were written by Norbert Sévestre (a very prolific writer of popular adventure series), many of which contained similar fantastic elements , although this has never been proven.
overview
Sâr Dubnotal is a kind of wizard and superhero, much like Marvel's Doctor Strange.
He is a master of the occult who appeared under various names such as Napoleon the Invisible , Master of Psychagogics , El Tebib (Doctor in Arabic) or just The Doctor .
Despite its elegant oriental presentation, Sâr Dubnotal is a resident of the West who was trained by the Rosicrucians and then learned the secrets of the Hindu mystics. Among other things , he is capable of thought transference , levitation and hypnotism .
One of two recurring enemies is the evil hypnotist Tserpchikoff , who turns out to be actually Jack the Ripper ; the other is the Russian revolutionary Azzef , in real life a Russian terrorist who was still alive at the time .
