BW

São Miguel von Tresminas is a single-nave Romanesque church in Tresminas, east of Vila Pouca de Aguiar in northern Portugal .

The facade masonry is decorated with consoles . The church has a double bell gable and a broken pointed arch portal. Characteristic is the ease with which the problem of access to the bell gable was solved by an external staircase with a landing and access to the gallery.

Medieval sarcophagus outside the church

The Romanesque church, of great simplicity, was built using the re-use of mining elements from Roman times. Inside there is a baroque altarpiece in the Johannine style and wooden ceilings.
