São Pedro is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Trancoso . The community had 1703 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Trancoso (São Pedro), Trancoso (Santa Maria) and Souto Maior were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Trancoso (São Pedro e Santa Maria) e Souto Maior . Trancoso (São Pedro) is the seat of this newly formed community.
