Saxon People's Chamber

The Saxon People's Chamber was the state parliament of the Free State of Saxony from February 25, 1919 to November 4, 1920 . It consisted of 96 members who were elected on February 2, 1919. One focus of their work was the drafting of a new constitution after the November Revolution . In the constitution passed by the People's Chamber on October 26, 1920, the state parliament was again referred to as the state parliament in accordance with the Saxon tradition. The first Saxon Landtag in the Weimar Republic was constituted on December 7, 1920. The President of the Saxon People's Chamber was Julius Fräßdorf (SPD).
