Sébastien Ostertag (born March 16, 1979 in Paris / France ) is a French handball player . He is 1.73 m tall and weighs 77 kg.

Ostertag, who plays for MSD Chartres, is mostly used as a left winger.

Sébastien Ostertag started playing handball at Livry-Gargan HB. There he also made his professional debut and rose to the French first division in 1999. After his team was immediately relegated, Ostertag went to the Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt, but returned to his home club after just a year. In 2003 he rose again to the first division; when relegated again in 2005, however, he joined the Tremblay en France HB in 2005. In the 2012/13 season he played for the second division club MSD Chartres.

Sébastien Ostertag has made 51 appearances for the French national team . At the 2008 European Handball Championship in Norway, he won bronze with his country . In 2009 he became world champion with France and in 2010 European champion .
