Sergio Jiménez

Sergio Jiménez (born December 17, 1937 in Mexico City , Mexico , † January 2, 2007 there ) was a Mexican actor and film director . During his almost 40-year career he played in over 50 film and television productions as an actor and directed various series for national television.

Sergio Jiménez began his career in 1966 as an actor in Juan Ibáñez 'film Los Caifanes , where he played the role of El Gato ( German: "The Cat") alongside Enrique Álvarez Félix . Further film and theater roles followed. Together with the actress Adriana Barraza he founded an acting school, where he taught, so that he was nicknamed "The Teacher" by many Mexican actors.

In addition to his work as an actor, he was also known as a director of telenovelas and television series. Jiménez had one of his last directing activities for the Mexican series La Fea más bella when he died at the age of 69 of a heart attack in his hometown.
