Sören Brandy (born May 6, 1985 in Verl ) is a former German soccer player who was most recently under contract with Arminia Bielefeld .

Career

Sören Brandy grew up in Schloß Holte and began his career at VfB Schloß Holte . From there he moved to FC Gütersloh 2000 , for which he played until 2006. In the 2005/06 season he played 30 times in the Oberliga Westfalen for Gütersloher, where he scored eight times in the opposing goal and once in his own goal. For the 2006/07 season he then moved to Northern Germany to Holstein Kiel , where he completed twelve games in the Regionalliga Nord (one goal) and one game in the Oberliga Nord (one goal). For the 2007/08 season he then moved back to North Rhine-Westphalia to Rot-Weiss Essen , where he completed 33 games in the Regionalliga Nord (three goals). For Essen, he also played three games in the DFB Cup : against Energie Cottbus (8: 7 a.s.), 1. FC Kaiserslautern (2: 1) and Hamburger SV (0: 3). In the game against Kaiserslautern Brandy scored the goal to make it 1-0. For the 2008/09 season he then moved to the third division SC Paderborn 07 and rose to the second Bundesliga. For Paderborn he also played four more DFB Cup appearances. On July 1, 2012 Sören Brandy moved to league rivals MSV Duisburg . For Duisburg, he played 32 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored 6 goals.

After MSV Duisburg's forced relegation , Sören Brandy moved to 1. FC Union Berlin for the 2013/14 season . There he signed a contract until the end of June 2015.

On November 20, 2014, this contract was prematurely extended by two years. For the second half of the 2016/17 season of the second division, Sören Brandy moved to Arminia Bielefeld . After the end of his contract in 2019, Brandy left the DSC and ended his professional career.

Private

Brandy is married to Miriam, their daughter Milla was born on February 13, 2013.
