Sören Kosanke (born February 4, 1977 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and between 2009 and 2019 a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Life and work

Sören Kosanke was born in Dresden and grew up in Eberswalde . He graduated from high school in 1996 and then did his basic military service. From 1997 to 2000 he completed his professional training as an administrative clerk for the municipal administration of the state of Brandenburg . After completing his training, he went to Heidelberg to study philosophy, sociology and law at the University of Heidelberg . He completed his studies with a Magister Artium . From 2006 he initially worked as a project manager in Eberswalde, before he worked in 2007 as operations manager at the business training academy in Hennigsdorf. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as a personal advisor and business promoter for the city of Teltow. Sören Kosanke is married and has three children. He lives in Teltow.

Sören Kosanke joined the SPD in 1998 and is a member of the SPD local association Teltow. From 2007 to 2011 he was state chairman of the Jusos Brandenburg. From 2010 to 2014 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district Potsdam-Mittelmark . Sören Kosanke has been chairman of the Teltow SPD local association since 2015 . Since 2016 he has been chairman of the Social Democrats in the Police (SiP) and thus an advisory member of the state board of the Brandenburg SPD.

In the local elections in 1998 Sören Kosanke was elected to a city parliament for the first time. In Eberswalde he was a city councilor until 2000. After the municipal elections in 2014, he was a member of the city ​​council of Teltow and the district council in Potsdam-Mittelmark. Lobbying

In November 2010, Sören Kosanke hosted a conversation with Vattenfall and the power plant supplier Hitachi about the future of lignite. The European subsidiary of the Swedish state company Vattenfall belonged to large parts of the Lusatian lignite area and Kosanke was the economic policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group at the time. The meeting was arranged by the SPD subsidiary Network Media and was part of the so-called “forward talks”. The party-owned company was paid 9,500 euros by the two companies for the event entitled “Outlook for the Future - Energy Strategy 2020 in Brandenburg”.

Since 2009 Sören Kosanke has been chairman of the association for the Teltower Rübchen .
