Sören Mackeben
Sören Mackeben (born January 29, 1979 in Hanover ) is a former German water polo player and multiple German champion.
Mackeben took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , with the German team reaching 5th place (out of 12). At the 2006 European water polo championship , the German team with Sören Mackeben took 8th place.
Sören Mackeben started in his youth, inspired by his older brother Helge, at TSV Anderten and Waspo Hannover-Linden . In 2002 the playmaker moved to Berlin as captain for the German record champions Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 . With the Wasserfreunde he won the German championship title in 2003 and in 2004 and 2005 the double of championship and cup.
In 2005 he moved to the country of record Olympic champions Hungary to Egri VK in Eger . After two years, he returned to Wasserfreunden Spandau in 2007 and ended his playing career there in 2010.
