The Søråsen is a great and snowy mountain range at the Princess Martha Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Lands . It separates the Quar Ice Shelf from the Ekström Ice Shelf .
The mountains were first mapped by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952). Its Norwegian name means something like "southern ridge".
