The southeastern Jura foothills near Regensburg are a 24 hectare nature reserve belonging to the city of Regensburg in the east of Regensburg, Bavaria . The protected area consists of two sub-areas, the Spitalholz adjoining the Brandlberg nature reserve and Fellinger Berg , which adjoins the Keilstein nature reserve to the north . The nature reserve includes semi -arid grassland and warmth-loving fringes.
