The Südwest Messe is a public exhibition in the Schwenningen district of the city of Villingen-Schwenningen .

The fair took place for the first time in 1950. At first it was named Südwest Issues . It has been located on the exhibition grounds, which are still in use today, since 1953.

Goods and services are offered at the fair. The target group includes end users as well as companies. A prefabricated house exhibition is part of the fair.

The fair takes place annually in the week of Pentecost. It has around 100,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors. Around 4,000 people are employed by trade fair organizers and exhibitors. In 2011 there were 109,000 visitors. The exhibition center with 60,000 m² has 21 exhibition halls.

Other trade fair events also take place on the Südwest Messe site, such as the Süddeutsche Caravan-Salon or jobs for future , a training fair at which professions, companies and authorities in their capacity as employers and training companies, but also further training institutions (secondary schools, universities etc.). Here questions can also be asked, contacts made or applications submitted. Information events by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the employment office also take place. The biennial Turning Days trade fair has been taking place here since 2005, and Europe's largest astronomy fair, the AME astronomy fair, since 2006 .
