The SŽ series 310 is a series of high-speed trains operated by Slovenske železnice , the Slovenian national railway company. The three-part Pendolino - trainsets are designed h for a maximum speed of 200 km /.

construction

The three-part trains were initially divided into a 2nd class car, a 1st class car and a 1st class car "with a business function". In the meantime, the arrangement has been changed so that there is a 2nd class car, a 2nd class car, a bistro area and a 1st and 2nd class car for each set.

history

The first use of the three multiple units built by Fiat in Savigliano was on September 29, 2000. They were used as InterCity Slovenija (ICS) between Ljubljana and Maribor every two hours. The travel time from the relation decreased from 150 to 95 minutes. Due to the lack of track extensions, they were initially unable to reach their maximum speed. At times, a daily trip to Spielfeld-Straß was extended.

In 2001 there was an option to purchase eight more multiple units.
