The women's team of SC Neunkirchen rose in 1987 to the second-class women's league East, in 1989 reached second place behind the 2nd team of USC Landhaus and was thus eligible for promotion to the women's Bundesliga. The Lower Austrians stayed there until 1993. A year later, the women made it back to the Bundesliga and played again in Austria's highest women's league in 1994/95 and 1995/96 . In the 1996/97 season they were sixth in the 2nd Division East. At the end of the season, the team was disbanded and the players switched to Willendorf SV and Eggendorf ASK or Weikersdorf.
