The SEG T22 and T23 diesel multiple units of the Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (SEG) were manufactured by MAN in 1935 . They were used in passenger train service until 1964. Their preferred area of use was the Kaiserstuhlbahn and the Reinheim-Reichelsheimer Eisenbahn . The vehicles were in service until 1964 when they were retired.
history
Both railcars were procured by the Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft with the numbers T22 and T23 . The T22 was preferred on the Kaiserstuhlbahn , the T23 on the Reinheim-Reichelsheimer Eisenbahn .
At the Kaiserstuhlbahn several AEG benzene railcars were previously in use, while the RRE had an AEG benzene railcar, which suffered an accident and burned down. Instead, the T23 was bought as a replacement .
It is known that the T22 was taken over by the Mittelbadische Eisenbahnen in 1953 . Retirement dates are not known. The T23 came to the Deutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft in 1953 . The car was retired in 1964 and scrapped in 1970.
Constructive features
The railcars were equipped with the TAG transmission from Deutsche Werke Kiel . Further technical descriptions are not available.
The machine system consisted of a six-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine W6V15 / 18 from MAN and the TAG gearbox from DWK.
