The SKN St. Pölten Juniors are the second team of the Austrian Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten . The team has been playing in the national league since the 2019/20 season .

history

The amateurs of the SKN St. Pölten started in the seventh class 1st class west / middle in the 2007/08 season . In this one was promptly champion in the first season. The regional league was skipped, for the 2008/09 season one was divided into the fifth-class 2. Landesliga West . In this one was also directly eleven points ahead of the ASV Spratzern champions and thus rose to the state league . In the debut season in the fourth-highest division you finished sixth. In the 2011/12 season they again finished sixth in the table. In the 2012/13 season they only came in ninth. In the 2013/14 season, the team was able to become champions of the regional league by one point ahead of SV Leobendorf and thus for the first time move up to the regional league east . In the debut season in the third-highest division, the team was eleventh, on the relegation ranks they had only a two-point advantage. The 2015/16 season was the best in the team's history today: With ninth place, the first and so far only single-digit table placement in the Eastern League was achieved. In the 2016/17 season they finished 14th and penultimate and had to play in a relegation against SV Mattersburg II to stay up. The Lower Austrians emerged victorious from the relegation. In the 2017/18 season they reached 14th place again. The 2018/19 season ended a third time in a row in 14th place. However, this was not enough for relegation this season, the SKN Juniors were eight points short of the non-relegation ranks. So you had to go back to the national league after five seasons.

After returning to the fourth-highest division, they finished fourth after 16 match days in the 2019/20 season before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
