SK Root ( Sportklub Root ) is a Swiss football club from Root in the canton of Lucerne . The club's colors are red, white and yellow.
history
On January 29, 1960, a contract to found an association was signed in the Winkelried restaurant . Josef Stöckli acted as the first club president. The greatest success of the men's team was promotion to the 2nd regional division in the 2010/11 season. With a total of 17 teams and other cooperation teams, the SK Root is strongly anchored locally and relies on its own offspring.
Women's football
The SK Root women's team was founded in 1983. 1998 she managed the promotion to the National League B , a year later saw him rise to the National League A .
