SML pipe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SML pipes are sewage pipes made of gray cast iron , which are connected to one another with additional sealing clips, the CV connectors . The letters “SML” can be interpreted as an abbreviation for “System Muffenlos”, the phrase “Super Metallit Delivery Program” is also mentioned. The product is specified in DIN 19522 - cast iron drainage pipes and fittings without sleeves (SML) and DIN EN 877 - cast iron pipe systems for the discharge of water from drainage systems and, among other things, for the standards DIN EN 12056 - gravity drainage systems within buildings and DIN 1986-100 - drainage systems relevant for buildings and land .

use

SML pipes have a protective coating on the inside and outside. Manufactured in different nominal widths between 40 and 300 mm, they are mainly installed in buildings, mostly free and only occasionally under plaster. Because of their robustness, they are also used as rain standpipes , in the lowest part of downpipes .

Transition adapters for HT pipe and KG pipe are offered.

The KML pipe is a special design for very aggressive wastewater.
