The Malgrubenspitze is a 2571 m high mountain in the Stubai Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol . Together with the Ampferstein and the Marchreisenspitze , it forms the well-known "triumvirate" above the Axamer Lizum , which is clearly visible as far as the Inn Valley .
Location and surroundings
The Malgrubenspitze is located in the Kalkkögeln in the Stubai Valley , southwest of Innsbruck . The neighboring summit is the Hochtennspitze (2549 m) in the west and the Marchreisenspitze (2620 m) in the east, separated by the Malgrubenscharte . In the north, separated by the Widdersbergsattel, is the 2327 m high Widdersberg .

The path leads from the Schlicker Scharte first to the east summit. This can be reached via brittle crags, gravel strips and rock gullies ( difficulty level I (UIAA) ).
