The Widdersberg is 2327 m above sea level. A. high summit in the Kalkkögeln in the Stubai Alps. The summit in the area of the Axamer Lizum is upstream of the Malgrubenspitze ( 2571 m ) to the north and separated from it by the Widdersbergsattel ( 2262 m ).
The Widdersberg has two faces: While it drops to the north in steep rock steps made of dolomite rock ( Hörzingwand ), a gentle meadow slope descends to the southeast into the Lizumer Kar .
From the Widdersbergsattel, which can be reached from Lizumer Kar , Hochtennboden or Lizumer Grube , the mountain is easy to climb in 15 minutes. Several climbing routes lead through the north face, such as the Huber Reinalter route (V- of the UIAA scale ), the Putana (V) or the Westriss (VI-). In winter, the Widdersberg is a popular ski touring summit.
