SNFU
SNFU is a Canadian punk band from Edmonton , founded in 1981.
Career
SNFU gained a legendary reputation as a skatepunk band in the 1980s, and in the 1990s they switched to the well-known punk label Epitaph Records , where they released three albums and then split up. In 2000 they got back together with a new line-up to release a new EP on Alternative Tentacles . However, this did not have much success in the scene, which the band had largely forgotten. In 2007, after many years, a new studio album called In The Meantime And In Between Time was released on their own label Rake Records . The current line-up consists of Mr. Chi Pig (vocals; 1962–2020), Ken Fleming and Sean Colig (guitar), Denis Nowoselski (bass) and Jon Card (drums). The album titles of the band basically consist of 7 words. The abbreviation "SNFU" originally stands for "Society's No Fucking Use".
In 2012 the Canadian author Chris Walter published the biography "SNFU: What No One Else Wanted To Say".
