The STEG Electronics AG , based in Lucerne is a Swiss computers and electronics. The company offers computer systems, individual components and entertainment electronics. STEG Electronics AG has been part of the PCP.COM Group since October 1st, 2014 .

Branches and sales

The company has sixteen branches across Switzerland in Basel, Biel, Conthey, Dietikon, Giubiasco, Granges-Paccot, Lucerne, Lugano, Marin, Olten, Renens, Rapperswil-Jona, Schaffhausen, St. Gallen, Visp and Zollikofen. In addition to the branches, STEG has also operated an online shop since 1998.

From 2006 until the end of the 2010/2011 season, STEG was the main sponsor of FC Luzern .

Company history

The company was founded in 1994 by Giosuè Spagnuolo as a sole proprietorship, Steg Computer Spagnuolo, in Ebikon and relocated to Lucerne in 1995 as PC-Hai Steg Computer Spagnuolo . In 1997, business activities were transferred to the newly founded STEG Computer GmbH in Lucerne. In 1998 the head office was relocated to Littau and in 2006 the new head office in Littauer Boden was opened. In September 2002 the branch in Lausanne / Ecublens was opened, followed in March 2003 by others in Manno, Basel and Dietikon and in 2007 in Friborg and Zollikofen. In April 2009, STEG took over the main building of the French-speaking computer discounter Top-D, with its headquarters and branch in Biel (BE) and another branch in Marin (NE). Top-D is still independent and not part of the group of companies. At the beginning of April 2009, STEG opened the first branch in Eastern Switzerland in St. Gallen. In September 2009 the Ticino branch was relocated from Manno to Grancia. The sales area of ​​the branch was enlarged four times. Almost a year later, in July 2010, STEG opened the second branch in Eastern Switzerland with the Rapperswil-Jona branch.

In mid-2011 the company was converted into a stock corporation and has been trading as STEG Electronics AG ever since .

PCP.CH AG took over the company on October 1, 2014. The STEG and PCP.CH brands will be retained.
