In addition, handball taster courses are offered as part of the Innsbruck holiday train, and around 500 children and young people are introduced to the sport of handball every year.

Bavarian League

As the Tyrolean regional league was faced with the same opponents several times per season due to the low number of teams, the team moved to neighboring Upper Bavaria in 2004/05 under the then head coach Alexander Beck. Just 1 year later, the championship title was achieved and promotion to the district league was achieved. The 3rd year in Upper Bavaria turned out to be a season with ups and downs. After a good start, they were ranked 2nd in the table after the first half of the season. In the second half of the season, some injuries took their toll, and the double burden of the championships in Tyrol and Bavaria prevented a place in the top 3. In the 2007/08 season, however, the championship title in the district league succeeded with a strong second half of the season, so the SVO is Handball Innsbruck 2008/09 represented in the regional league.
