The sports club Bühlertal e. V. ( SV Bühlertal for short ) is a football club from Bühlertal . The first soccer team currently plays in the Association League South Baden . The association has about 730 members.

history

In 1922 the club was founded as "FC Bühlertal" by the two high school students Rudolph Stolper and Oskar Fritz. After the Second World War , the club was re-founded on July 3, 1946 as the Bühlertal Sports Association (SpVgg Bühlertal for short). With the 1981/82 season it was renamed Sportverein Bühlertal (SV Bühlertal for short).

In the 1950s and 1960s, the team belonged to what was then District Class A in Baden-Baden. In 1971, the club first of the second amateur division rose after a victory in a playoff against the tied VfB Gaggenau in the highest German amateur class that first amateur league but after the end of the first season 1971/72 on, again. After the immediate resurgence in 1973, the team succeeded with the 8th place in the 1st amateur league, the best placement so far. The SV Bühlertal belonged to the 1st amateur league until 1976.

In July 1995 a grass pitch was set up in the Mittelberg Stadium.

SV Bühlertal plays its home games in the sports center at Mittelberg (Mittelbergstadion). The English national team trained there for the 2006 World Cup in Germany .
