The SV Contienen Königsberg was a short-lived sports club in the German Empire based in what is now the Russian city of Kaliningrad .
history
For the 1940/41 season , the club rose to the 1st class East Prussia . At that time still under the name WKG of BSG Ferdinand Schichau GmbH Königsberg . At the end of the season, the team finished fifth in District 1 Königsberg with 7:13 points . After the next season , third place could be achieved with 12:10 points. For the 1942/43 season , the club then changed its name to SV Contienen Königsberg . At the end of this season, the team finished second with 17: 7 points. At the end of the 1943/44 season, the team was then able to qualify for the first class final by taking first place in Season B. There, however, the team lost 6: 4 to RSV Heiligenbeil . For the 1944/45 season , all clubs that could still participate in the game were divided into the Gauliga East Prussia . After three days of play, the team was already at an end due to the progress of the Second World War . At this point the team was in second place with 5: 5 points. After the annexation of East Prussia by the Soviet Union , the association was forcibly dissolved.
