The sports club Eintracht Ruwer 1945 eV was founded in 1945 in the Ruwer district of Trier .
Football department
The first men's team had its heyday at the end of the 1960s. In 1968 the team rose to the amateur league of Rhineland , the third-highest league level at the time, but could not hold the class as fifteenth in the first season. In the meantime (as of 2016/17) the team plays in the district league C of the Mosel / Hochwald district.

Table tennis department
On June 1, 1972, table tennis players who were previously organized in the Ruwer 1894 gymnastics club and played in the Southwest table tennis league joined the SVE Ruwer. The table tennis department of SV Ruwer has been playing since the 2014/2015 season with 2 teams that take part in men's and mixed games. The play room is located in the school gym of the Ruwer elementary school. The championship in the Oberliga Südwest, the second highest German division at the time, was achieved in the 1993/1994 season.
