The SV Friedrichsort is a sports club based in Kiel , whose first men's table tennis currently -Mannschaft in association Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein plays. The club was created on September 28, 1945 through the merger of the gymnastics and sports club Friedrichsort from 1890 , the Free Gymnastics Association Friedrichsort and the surrounding area and the Friedrichsort Sport Club from 1908 .

Soccer

The SC 08 was 1919-20 for the first time in the top flight, the Kreisliga Holstein, ascend, but had no dot gain descend immediately. After the club was promoted to the Gauliga Nordmark in 1940 , it was proven after the season that he used players who were not eligible to play, whereupon the SC remained in second class. It was not until 1942 that they were promoted to the then first-class Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein , in which the SC briefly took on the role of number two in Kiel and not only defeated Holstein Kiel twice in 1943/44 , but also achieved third place, as in the previous season.

In contrast to SC 08, the Free Gymnastics League played in the leagues of the ATSB and was able to win the Nordmark Championship in 1921. In the subsequent ATSB regional championship , however, the FT Unterweser-Bremerhaven had to be beaten 1: 6. With Hans Göhring, the club also provided a German national player. In 1933 the club, like all other workers' sports clubs, was dissolved by the National Socialists.

After the newly formed SV Friedrichsort had to spend a few seasons in the third division, he returned to the Schleswig-Holstein State League for the 1952/53 season and quickly established itself in the new league after promotion. After two national cup victories at the end of the 50s, you could reach the promotion round to the first-class Oberliga Nord in 1960, in which the SVF failed significantly. After the introduction of the Bundesliga, Friedrichsort was able to "move up" in the second-class Regionalliga Nord, as the team won a promotion round with VfB Lübeck . For the first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany, the sports club was back in a league with Holstein Kiel.

The club ended the first season in the Regionalliga 1963/64 season in 15th place. In the following season the Kielers were 14 and had to relegate to the third division again in the 1965/66 season despite a victory over the championship candidate FC St. Pauli . In 1975 the club failed to qualify for the Amateur Oberliga Nord, whereupon it was passed from the third to the fifth league. In 1995 the club had to relegate to the sixth division for the first time and was passed through to the district league.

In the 2008/09 season, the club took part in the sixth class Association League North-East, but rose again to the Kiel District League for the 2009/10 season. There the first team played a sportingly catastrophic season in the 2009/10 season and rose again with a record of four points and 14: 183 goals from 30 point games, this time in the district class A. The club's free fall was not stopped in the A-class either, at the end of the 2010/11 season the relegation to the district class B was certain with three points and 29: 152 goals.

In 2012 they returned to the district class A. In the following three seasons, SV Friedrichsort was able to establish itself in the A class with both the first and second team. In the 2014/15 season, the first team reached first place in this division with 68 points and a goal difference of 86:28. The SVF has therefore been back in the top division of Kiel (Kreisliga Kiel) since the 2015/16 season.
