The SV Holthausen / Biene is a sports club from Lingen in Lower Saxony . The first soccer team has been playing in the Landesliga Weser / Ems since 2013 . In addition to the soccer department, the club also offers gymnastics , judo , tennis , table tennis , volleyball and walking .
history
The association was founded in 1931 as DJK Biene at the suggestion of Pastor Heinrich Schulte, who worked in bees . The DJK Biene joined the German youth force , which was banned by the National Socialists in 1935 . With the ban of the umbrella organization, the DJK Biene was also banned and dissolved. After the Second World War , a successor association was founded in 1946 with the SC Biene , which was renamed SV Biene a short time later . On July 31, 1958, the SV Biene merged with an association from Holthausen to form SV Holthausen / Biene.
In 1995 he was promoted to the Landesliga Weser / Ems . There, after a 2-0 win in the playoff against FC Stadthagen, the march into the Lower Saxony League West succeeded . After two years in the Upper House of Lower Saxony, the SV had to relegate back to the state league in 1997. The direct resurgence came after a 3-1 victory over SSG Halvestorf-Herkendorf . This time the club was able to establish itself and in 2002 it reached fifth place. Three years later, he was relegated to the Weser / Ems regional league .
After several unsuccessful attempts to get up again, SV Holthausen / Biene became champions of the Weser / Ems regional league in 2011 and thus made it into the fifth-class Lower Saxony upper league. As sixth in the table, the team had the chance to make it through to the Regionalliga Nord in two play-offs against ETSV Weiche . Soft won the games 3: 1 and 3: 0.
A year later, he was voluntarily relegated to the state league. The club waived a license application for the 2013/14 season due to a demand for additional taxes and social security contributions .
