The SV Memmelsdorf / Ofr. is a sports club from the Upper Franconian community of Memmelsdorf . In addition to the successful football department , the club also offers chess , bowling and skiing .
history
The association was launched on December 7, 1923. Its colors are red and white. The association currently has around 500 members.
Soccer
The footballers' home games take place in the Schmittenau Stadium. In 1987 the 1st team made it to the state league, but failed because of the relegation to promotion to the Bayern league . After two relegation and promotion in the next few years, the biggest success came in 2009, promotion to the Bayern League. There the team could not hold up in 2009/10 and then played again in the Landesliga Nord. Due to the reorganization of the football leagues, the first team played in the Bayernliga Nord from 2012 until they were relegated in 2015.
The 2nd team made it to the Bamberg district league in 2007, after being promoted in 2011 they are now playing in the Oberfranken West district league.
In addition to A, B, C, D and E juniors, there are also the "old men".
Bowling
The bowling department was founded on June 12, 1969.
In the 2008/09 season, the first men's team played in the Upper Franconian District League. In the current season they play again in the district class A.

Other departments
There is also a chess department and a small ski group that does not actively take part in competitions.
