Hans-Jürgen Heidenreich (born August 17, 1967 in Schlüsselfeld) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Heidenreich began his professional career at 1. FC Nürnberg in the Bundesliga . In the first three years it was only used sporadically and came to 18 missions. He played his first Bundesliga game on April 25, 1987 against VfB Stuttgart . In the 1988/89 season he was also used in two UEFA Cup games against AS Roma .

After a year in the 2nd Bundesliga at KSV Hessen Kassel , where he was regularly used, he returned to Nuremberg for two more years and from then on played significantly more often than before. In 1992 Heidenreich went back to the 2nd division at VfB Leipzig . In the 1992/93 season he was used in 40 games in Leipzig, with which he was promoted to the Bundesliga at the end.

Heidenreich played 55 times in the Bundesliga (2 goals) and 66 times in the 2nd division.

In 1987, Hans-Jürgen Heidenreich took part in the Junior World Cup in Chile for the Federal Republic of Germany . With players like Andreas Möller , Marcel Witeczek and Michael Preetz , the German team only had to admit defeat in the final against Yugoslavia on penalties.

After his active time, Heidenreich trained children and young people in soccer youth camps and gave coaching courses together with other ex-professionals such as Bernd Hobsch . In addition, he has been training the Bavarian clergy team since 2005, which competes in the Bavarian Clergy Championships and in numerous benefit games, and was chairman of his home club FC Thüngfeld for a long time until he was no longer up for re-election in 2008. After working as a coach in the youth division of the FSV Erlangen-Bruck , Heidenreich took over the coaching position at the regional league club FC Eintracht Bamberg from September 19, 2013 until the end of June 2014 . Heidenreich has been training SV Memmelsdorf / Ofr since the 2014/15 season . in the Bayernliga Nord.
