Saša Papac (born February 7, 1980 in Mostar ) is a former Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player and has been the sports director of FK Željezničar Sarajevo since November 2017 .

Career

Papac started his career at NK Široki Brijeg . For the 2001/02 season he moved to FC Carinthia . For the 2004/05 season he was loaned out by FK Austria Wien and committed after the season. With Austria Wien he became Austrian champion and cup winner in 2006 and thus won the double. A year earlier, the team also won the trophy. In 2006 he moved to the Glasgow Rangers . With the Glasgow Rangers he won the Scottish Cup in 2008.

On May 14, 2008 he lost with the Glasgow Rangers the UEFA Cup final against Zenit St. Petersburg at the City of Manchester Stadium with 0-2.

Papac announced his retirement on August 27, 2012 for health reasons.

National team

On October 11, 2002 Papac made his debut in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian national football team . He was on the starting line-up for the game against Germany .
