Saʿad al-Harthi ( Arabic سعد الحارثي, DMG Saʿad al-Ḥāraṯī ; * February 3, 1984 in Riyadh ) is a Saudi Arabian soccer player .

al-Harthi is one of the young up-and-coming strikers in Saudi Arabia who is fighting to succeed striker Sami al-Jabir . He has been a member of the Saudi Arabian national team since June 9, 2004 and with twelve goals in his 15 appearances so far, he has an impressive hit rate. Nevertheless, he is considered inconsistent and is only a substitute for the seeded al-Jaber and Yassir al-Qahtani in the team, including at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where he will be part of the Saudi Arabian squad .

In the Saudi Arabian league he plays for Al-Nasr and was the only representative of his club at the 2006 World Cup. In 2004/05 he had his breakthrough in the first division and then got a five-year contract with Al-Nasr. Nevertheless, he was loaned out to league rival Al-Ittihad at short notice in 2006 .
