Sabah Tanah Airku

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sabah Tanah Airku (German: Sabah, my homeland ) is the anthem of the Malaysian state of Sabah .

The author of the hymn was the Polish violinist HB Hermann. Hermann, who was also a Singaporean citizen at the time of the composition , submitted the hymn to an international competition announced in 1963 and was selected as the winner by Tun Fuad Stephens and Tun Mustapha . The Sabah National Anthem Competition's cash prize was $ 1,000 strait. In the same year, the 72-year-old musician received an award from the Sabah government for his work.
