Sabine Dolderer (* 1962 ) is the former managing director and former chairwoman of the board of DENIC eG , the registry for the top-level domain de .

Life

After completing her degree in computer science, she began working at the computing center of the University of Karlsruhe in 1990 . Since 1994 she has been responsible for the DENIC project , financed by third-party funds from German Internet providers , which technically implemented a registry for the .de domain until 1999.

After founding the DENIC eG cooperative in 1997, she continued to work there as managing director . From 2001 to 2007 Dolderer was one of three full-time members of the Executive Board , alongside two honorary members . As such, she was responsible for external representation, operations, member and end customer services.

On March 23, 2007, she resigned from her position with immediate effect. The message sent to Denic members indicated internal disagreements about the further development of DENIC. At the general assembly of the cooperative on May 3, 2007, her resignation ensured a lively participation by the members and some personnel changes in the supervisory board. After the supervisory board was almost completely replaced in 2007, Dolderer resumed as a managing director on October 1, 2007.

She also worked for various other organizations, partly on behalf of Denic, and held several leading positions, for example at CENTR .

On February 28, 2014, she resigned from the board of the cooperative.
