Sabine Gisiger

Sabine Gisiger (* 1959 in Zurich ) is a Swiss film director and screenwriter.

biography

Sabine Gisiger studied history from 1980 to 1987 at the Universities of Zurich and Pisa, from which she graduated with a doctorate. From 1988 to 2013 she worked regularly as a reporter for Swiss radio and television in Switzerland and abroad, especially for the Rundschau . She has been working as a freelance documentary filmmaker since 1990. Since 2002 she has been teaching as a professor for documentary film at the Zurich University of the Arts and at the HSLU Lucerne. Sabine Gisiger is a member of the Swiss Film Academy and the European Film Academy .
