Sabine Horstmann

Sabine Horstmann is a German church musician .

Horstmann studied church music with Wilhelm Ehmann at the Westphalian State Church Music School in Herford . In 1978 she passed the A-exam at the Hochschule für Musik Köln . At the Folkwang University in Essen, she supplemented her training by studying singing with Jakob Stämpfli . From 1978 until her retirement in summer 2017 she was a church musician in Schwelm . She teaches choral conducting and vocal training through courses in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the USA and Switzerland. Since 1993 she has been teaching singing at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf . She was awarded the title of church music director for her achievements .

Her book on choral vocal training was also published in French and English.
