Sabine Sitter

Sabine Sitter (* 1975 in Karlstadt ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). Since May 1, 2020 she has been the district administrator of the Main-Spessart district ( Bavaria ).

Career

In 1995 Sitter graduated from high school and then began studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg-Schweinfurt . She studied social work and graduated in 2000 with a degree in social education (FH). In the same year she began working as a social worker in the Lohr district hospital . From 2003 she did part-time training at the Alice Salomon University in Berlin and the University of Coburg . She completed this in 2007 with a degree in clinical social work MA.She took on a position as a department head and from 2017 received a teaching position at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg-Schweinfurt . She has also been working as a social therapist since 2019 .

Political career

Sitter was already a member of the Junge Union while he was still at school , and later of the CSU and the Women's Union . In 2014 she was elected to the district council of Main-Spessart for the CSU - like her father Johannes Sitter before - and is deputy of the district administrator.

In 2019 she decided to run as district administrator. She succeeded in winning the runoff election with 60.3% of the votes against her opponent Christoph Vogel (FW).

Private

Sitter is married and has two children.
